Easter

is an event strongly felt in Sicily. The Good Friday procession is the most exciting time of Easter, lived between recollection and festive celebrations. The rites of Holy Week are the set of religious events held in different countries and cities of Sicily by the various parishes of the diocese and especially of the local brotherhoods. These ancient rites, of great tourist, want to represent the most significant moments of the Passion of Jesus Christ, described in the Gospels, since his arrest by the Romans to the Resurrection, and are part, along with the normal religious services, the Holy Week celebrations.
